That first night
The sky popped open
Unlimited space
Endless expansion
It contained a promise
Of what might come
Or what could be had
If we dared to take off
Earthly gravity,
Dust and matter
However, clouded
Our free spirits to rise
Defiantly and heroic
We started running
Attempting to escape
This dimension
Full speed
Airborne
Retract landing gear
We have taken off
Below us
All the reasons not
And above us
Only blue sky
